Job Description


  • We are looking for an experienced and organized accountant to join our finance team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
  • Provide financial insights to senior management to assist in strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee and maintain accurate general ledger entries, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded appropriately.
  • Stay updated on tax law changes and advise management on potential impacts.
  • Support external auditors during the audit process and provide necessary documentation.
  • Offer recommendations for improving financial performance, cost-saving measures, and revenue generation strategies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, operations, and procurement, to ensure smooth financial operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
  • Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent (Compulsory)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
  • Proficient in accounting software (ZOHO) and other accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must not be from a Yoruba-speaking tribe
  • A female is needed (For Gender Equality)
  • Proximity to the island
  • Must be available to resume within 1 week – 2 Weeks.
