Ellasot Consulting - Our client in the Freight and Forwarding Industry is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Accountant
Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description

• Examining bank statements and reconciling them with general ledger entries
• Examining expenses submitted by employees
• Analysing data collected in order to determine the state of the company’s financial health
• Analysing data to understand where the company is generating and losing revenue
• Generating financial reports that display the company’s profits, equity and cash flow
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Report on the company’s financial status and liquidity
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Comply with financial policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• 3 - 5 years of accounting/finance experience
• Demonstrate experience with Excel any other accounting software such as SAGE
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
• Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
• Highly detail-oriented.

Salary
N70,000 - N90,000 Monthly.
