Position Overview

• As a Senior Accountant, you will be an integral part of our finance team, responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably with experience in the quarry or mining industry, and possess excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and budget forecasts to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax obligations, and financial reporting standards.
• Oversee inventory management and cost accounting processes to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years of experience in the quarry or mining industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends effectively.
• Proven leadership abilities with a track record of driving results and managing projects effectively.
