Job Summary


  • We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant who will be responsible for managing financial records, monitoring cinema revenues, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting management with accurate financial reporting.
  • The ideal candidate must understand cinema-specific revenue streams and operational accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations for cinema outlets, including ticket sales, concessions, and ancillary revenues
  • Reconcile box office reports, POS systems, and bank statements
  • Track and report film rental fees, distributor settlements, and revenue-sharing arrangements
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and cash flow reports
  • Ensure accurate VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other statutory filings
  • Monitor expenses, payroll processing, and vendor payments
  • Maintain fixed asset registers for cinema equipment and facilities
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and industry standards

Requirements & Qualifications

  • BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within a cinema, entertainment, or hospitality environment
  • Strong understanding of cinema revenue structures and POS reconciliation
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or in progress)
  • Experience working with multi-location cinema operations.
