Job Position: Accounting Officer
Job Location: Lagos

Job Duties

• To prepare and examine financial records.
• Also make sure that records are accurate and that taxes are paid properly and on time.
• Perform overviews of the financial operations of a business in order to help it run efficiently

Job Responsibilities

• Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures
• Keep information confidential and secure them with random database backups
• Keep up with financial policies, regulation and legislation
• Managing all accounting operations based on accounting principles
• Preparing budget and financial forecasts
• Computing taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement
• Manage all accounting operations based on accounting principles
• Publish financial statements in time
• Conduct month-end and year-end close process
• Collect, analyze and summarize account information
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement etc
• Develop periodic reports for management

Job Requirements

• Proven working experience as a cost accountant or in a relevant field
• Advanced degree in Accounting
• Excellent accounting software user
• Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
• Candidates must be based in lagos
