About The Role

• Sun King is looking for a Corporate Finance Associate Manager, to join its Finance team in Nigeria.
• The Corporate Finance Associate will provide both operational and strategic support to the organization by supporting the senior management in all strategic and tactical matters relating to corporate finance activities including but not limited to Financial model, forecasting, compilation of documents required for covenant reporting, debt raising and investors requirements.

Responsibilities
Debt Financing & Investor Relations:

• Manage existing debt investor relationships and support in identifying new funding opportunities.
• Liaise with senior management of potential debt investors for fundraising initiatives.
• Participate in debt terms negotiations, documentation, and compliance monitoring.
• Lead due diligence processes for fundraising activities.
• Handle post-drawdown reporting and covenant management.

Financial Modelling & Analysis:

• Develop, maintain, and analyze financial and valuation models.
• Provide insights and recommendations on financial performance, investment opportunities, and risk.
• Support corporate finance strategy including securitization and debt structuring.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare financial documents, reports, investor presentations, and proposals using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Compile and maintain electronic data rooms for fundraising projects.
• Deliver periodic reports on financial covenants and fundraising progress.

Risk & Compliance Management:

• Monitor forex exposures and implement risk mitigation through hedging strategies.
• Ensure compliance with financial covenants and reporting requirements.
• Support grant management and related reporting.

Strategic Advisory & Projects:

• Provide ad hoc support on M&A deals, corporate restructuring, and potential IPO initiatives.
• Partner with internal teams to align on financial strategies and fundraising objectives.
• Assist the Senior Manager, Investor Relations in all strategic investor-facing activities.

Requirements
You might be a strong candidate if you:

• Have Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate finance, impact funding, financial services or investment banking.
• Professional qualification ICAN required; ACCA/CFA is a strong advantage).
• Proven skills in financial modelling, debt financing, and investor relations.
• Solid knowledge of profit & loss reporting, fundraising, and securitization.
• Good writing and presentation skills with full proficiency in Microsoft Office and analytics tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
• Experience with financial reporting, covenant management, and due diligence processes.
• Highly analytical with good level of attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
• Excellent people, listening, and negotiation skills.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced, multicultural work environment.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
