Job Summary
- The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will lead the company’s operations, implementing strategic initiatives, optimizing performance, and building a culture of high accountability and collaboration.
- The COO will oversee day-to-day operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure strong financial and operational results.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the company’s turnaround strategy and operational transformation.
- Lead all operational departments, ensuring service excellence across fleet management, container clearing, and logistics coordination.
- Build strong internal capabilities, drive talent development, and foster a high-performance culture.
- Maintain effective relationships with clients, regulators, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process improvements.
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, and cost optimization.
- Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, governance practices, and safety standards.
- Leverage technology to enhance operational effectiveness and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10–15 years of experience within logistics, transportation, or related sectors.
- Proven success leading operational transformations and improving financial outcomes.
- Strong strategic, financial, and operational leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, people management, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian business and regulatory environment.
- High level of integrity and a results-driven mindset.
