Job Description


  • We’re looking for a fantastically talented, enthusiastic, friendly and capable Community Manager to join our super effective Community Team at Premier Hub.
  • The role combines reception, member liaison, community engagement, office & facilities management, being one of the faces of the physical Premier Hub space, and our online network.
  • For this role, you’ll need to be super flexible, quick on your feet, able to multitask and be ready to get stuck in no matter what the challenge.
  • You need to be bright and outgoing – a huge smile and friendly chat is what we need to greet everyone who comes through our door.

Responsibilities

  • Your primary duty is to cultivate relationships with local groups such as schools, community members, influencers, press, networking groups, and industry leaders.
  • Manage, grow and nurture the Premier Hub Community.
  • Help define and execute our Content and Community strategy. This role will be approximately 30% strategy and 70% execution.
  • Manage and maintain accurate event calendar and Communicate community messages, internal event and opportunities to members.
  • Organize specialty events like Hackathons, Camps and Meetups.
  • On boarding, helping new members connect and build strong relationships; creating shared experiences for members; and managing all member events.
  • Organize and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness
  • Liaise with Development and Sales departments to stay updated on new products and features Helping to deal with property maintenance and facilities – flagging and passing on any issues instantly, and communicating with members about it when necessary
  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 -4 years’ experience
  • Must have experience in launching community initiatives for example building an online forum, creating an event series, etc. or similar with proven successes
  • Strong strategic thinking, communications, problem-solving, management, technical, and analytical skills.
  • B.Sc/BA in Marketing, Journalism, Mass communication or a related field
  • Keen interest in technology and ability to converse about trends such as machine learning and analytics.
  • Based in Akure is an added advantage
