Cooking Show Presenter

Network Arewa24 Limited is the company that owns and manages AREWA24, a Hausa-language, free-to-air satellite television channel which can be viewed on Eutelsat Satellite Channel 16A/16 East Horizontal (frequency 10804, symbol rate 30000).

AREWA24 content is locally produced by and for Northern Nigerians, and fully dedicated to the people, cultures, and values of the Hausa-speaking region. The channel is dedicated to airing exciting and relevant entertainment shows with a slate of original and premier international programming.

AREWA24’s goal is to develop its authentic Hausa-language content that enriches the lives of Northern Nigerian viewers and projects the beauty, promise, and potential of Northern Nigeria. Network Arewa24 Limited seeks to recruit an experienced candidates to help support the growth of AREWA24 and its Nigerian content.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Cooking Show Presenter
Job Location: Kano

 Job Functions

• Ability to prepare different types of dishes both national and international
• Ability to interact with both male and female guests while presenting on air
• Ability to work in a neat and smart manner
• Passionate about food and diet, with qualifications that prove it.
• Will be responsible for the purchase of ingredients from the market(as a procedure the cameraman will follow to record the process)
• Work well with team, prepared to work weekends and evenings. Can travel for location filming, is fun to be with and determined to help people enjoy cooking
• Ability to come up with own menu plans - traditional and modern
• Can inspire viewers with new ideas.
• Can make a show out of cooking

Qualities Required:

• Must be within in the age of 22 to 35 years
• Must have minimum of Diploma in Catering Management or any related course and a show reel would be an advantage
• Must be fluent in Hausa and English
• Candidates must be well organized
• Must have a good sense of personal hygiene
• Minimum of 3 years working experience, preferably in catering
• Must be confident and have passion for cooking and presentation
• Knowledge of television presentation is an added advantage.
