Job Position: First / Entry level Accountant

Job Location: Jabi, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• An Entry-Level Accountant (Junior Associate) provides foundational accounting and audit support under the supervision of senior accountants and audit managers.

Responsibilites
Bookkeeping & Record Maintenance:

• Posting journal entries
• Updating general ledger accounts
• Maintaining proper documentation of transactions
• Filing and organizing client financial records.

Bank & Account Reconciliation:

• Preparing bank reconciliation statements
• Reconciling receivables and payables
• Identifying and reporting discrepancies.

Audit Assistance:

• Assisting with audit fieldwork
• Preparing working papers and audit schedules
• Vouching transactions and reviewing supporting documents
• Conducting stock counts or basic verification procedures.

Financial Reporting Support:

• Assisting in preparation of financial statements
• Drafting management accounts
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes:

Tax & Compliance Support:

• Assisting with VAT, PAYE, and other statutory computations
• Preparing schedules for tax filings
• Ensuring client records comply with regulatory standards.

Administrative Duties:

• Data entry into accounting software
• Communicating with clients for outstanding documents
• Supporting senior team members on assigned tasks.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree with 1 - 3 years of experience.

Required Skills:

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Salary
N130,000 - N150,000 monthly.
