Job Description    


  • To assist in the design, planning and optimization of MTNN’s VAS, Digital and Intelligent Network (IN) platforms so as to achieve a cost effective and optimal VAS/IN network design
  • To ensure timely deployment of quality products, services, solutions, third party integration to the network and other new initiatives in line with the business’s strategic objectives
  • Business growth, value created & cost-effectiveness achieved by process optimization
  • Define the optimal network topology for the VAS, Digital & Mobile Intelligent Network (IN) platforms (e.g. SMSC, VMS, RBT, EIR, USSD, PCRF, PCEF etc) to enable deployment of Value added services.
  • Execute prompt provisioning of network capacity for all the VAS and Digital network elements, features, protocols.
  • Design the VAS network as well as new products and services and Map out structure and organization of the relevant data or project to support the marketing product and service.
  • Plan and design the implementation of future products and services using the SDLC and Agile Methodologies.
  • Plan and design the network architecture to optimally serve the growth of the VAS and Digital network in terms of traffic, subscribers and value added service capacity.
  • Conduct analysis of network model outputs and traffic patterns to evaluate model and proffer solution if necessary within the VAS environment.
  • Design and plan the evolution of Value Added and Digital Services, messaging (Voicemail & SMS), value propositions and other Third Party applications and services.
  • Conduct analysis of network model outputs and traffic patterns to evaluate model and proffer solution if necessary within the VAS environment.
  • Conduct technical and feasibility studies for new products and services and produce feasibility report.
  • Produce Functional and Technical Specification documents for new products and services.
  • Plan and design the network architecture to optimally serve the growth of the VAS and Digital services in terms of traffic, subscribers and capacity.
  • Meet with vendors on new market releases and technology upgrade path to ensure quick deployment of new and innovative products/services.
  • Participate in cross functional meetings with key stakeholders involved in the development and deployment of Value Added and Digital Services in order to define best solutions for new products and services.
  • Continuously seek self-professional development to sharpen skills and capabilities in a versatile and evolving digital landscape.
  • Foster active collaboration and relationships with employees across all levels and divisions in line with MTN’s VB

Experience & Training    
Education:

  • First Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any related discipline.

Fluent in English Experience:

  • 3 - 7 years of experience in an area of specialisation; with experience in vendor management and supervising others. Experience in products, services and solution development using SDLC & Agile methodologies as well as a good understanding of Mobile & Digital services and their roadmaps. Experience with telecommunication & Digital technology architecture.
  • Experience with Cloud Solutions & Technologies, Project Management and a good knowledge of API driven Development.

Minimum Qualification
