EXPERIENCED BAG CUTTING MACHINE OPERATOR

SUNNY DAY PLASTICS is a plastic manufacturing and recycling facility located at UDU, DELTA STATE. There is an immediate full-time opening for an EXPERIENCED BAG CUTTING MACHINE OPERATOR in the Recycling section.

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor and designated Shift Leads, this position is responsible for operating bag line equipment in order to produce printed and functional plastic bags following quality specifications.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

Setup and operate bag machine(s) and support equipment to convert HDPE film to bags

Read and verify line orders/dockets.

Understand printing job requirements by the specifications.

Set up the bag line by loading film and adjusting for size.

Mount cylinders, adjusts pressure, tensions and adjusts distribution of ink.

Trouble shoot stoppages and breakdowns.

Perform quality checks of material being produced and related documentation.

EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE 

• B.Eng. or HND (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience within the plastic production plant preferred
