Facility Manager Job in Lagos

A prestigious recreational Club on the Island, Lagos, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Brief

• We are looking for a Facility/Maintenance Manager to take care of our Club's infrastructure (e.g buildings, electricity, equipment.)
• You will manage maintenance personnel and plan various maintenance issues while saving costs. In this role, you should be organized and proactive. Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is essential.

• The goal will be to ensure our Club premises is safe and functional for its members, guests, and employees.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the Club regularly to ensure it meets safety standards.
• Arrange for routine maintenance in the Club's sections and facilities (e.g. kitchens, all sporting sections).
• Find ways to reduce the Club's operating costs and conserve energy.
• Supervise team of Maintenance Technicians and vendors
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
• Organize repair projects in a manner that does not disturb members and guests.
• Act fast to resolve emergency issues (eg, power outages)
• Budgets, expenses, and activity logs.

Requirements and Skills

• B.Sc / HND in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field with 10 years experience in a recreational Club or related environment and at least four (4) years of managerial experience in Facilities Management.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor in a hospitality/recreational Club environment.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Ability to spot safety risks and address needs quickly.
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, sewer, and HVAC systems; recreational
• Club/hospitality industry experience is a plus.
• Experience in administrative processes (eg, budgeting, performance management)
• Ability to initiate and implement preventive maintenance measures.
• Active membership of the Institute of Facility Management is an added advantage.
