We are an innovative agricultural company focused on the cultivation and sustainable production of palm oil. Our 35-acre plantation, located in Ibadan, Oyo State, is committed to modern, efficient, and environmentally friendly farming practices. We are looking for a hands-on, experienced Farm Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure optimal productivity on our plantation.

Role Summary

The Farm Manager (Palm Oil Plantation) will be responsible for managing and supervising all plantation activities—from land preparation and planting to harvesting and processing. The ideal candidate must possess practical, not theoretical, knowledge of palm oil cultivation and be able to lead a team of workers effectively to achieve production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the palm plantation, including planting, maintenance, harvesting, and processing.

• Supervise, train, and motivate plantation workers to ensure productivity and adherence to best practices.

• Monitor crop health, pest control, fertilizer application, and irrigation schedules.

• Ensure the efficient use of farm inputs and equipment.

• Prepare and maintain accurate records of farm activities, yields, and expenditures.

• Implement safety and sustainability standards on the plantation.

• Report regularly to management on plantation progress, challenges, and recommendations.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong practical knowledge of palm oil cultivation and management.

• Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.

• Good record-keeping, reporting, and communication abilities.

• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently.

• Familiarity with farm machinery, fertilizers, and pest control methods.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of SSCE, Diploma, or Degree in Agriculture or a related field.

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience managing or working on a palm oil plantation.

• Must reside or be willing to relocate to Ibadan (accommodation provided).

Salary

?100,000 – ?120,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
