Network Arewa24 Limited is the company that owns and manages AREWA24, a Hausa-language, free-to-air satellite television channel which can be viewed on Eutelsat Satellite Channel 16A/16 East Horizontal (frequency 10804, symbol rate 30000).

AREWA24 content is locally produced by and for Northern Nigerians, and fully dedicated to the people, cultures, and values of the Hausa-speaking region. The channel is dedicated to airing exciting and relevant entertainment shows with a slate of original and premier international programming.

AREWA24’s goal is to develop its authentic Hausa-language content that enriches the lives of Northern Nigerian viewers and projects the beauty, promise, and potential of Northern Nigeria. Network Arewa24 Limited seeks to recruit an experienced candidates to help support the growth of AREWA24 and its Nigerian content.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Female Presenter (Behind the Scene Kannywood Show - News/Gossip Segment Da Dumi Duminsu)
Job Location: Kano

 Job Functions

• Ability to present from Outdoor/Indoor movie locations
• Ability to produce high quality scripts
• A good team player with a “can do” attitude, brimming with ideas, enthusiastic about Kannywood with plenty of movie contacts
• Willing to learn new broadcast technics - a joy to work with, but steely ambitious
• To interact with and interview movie stars and crew
• Proven and thorough knowledge of the Kannywood movie industry
• To cover events, awards, seminars and music premiers and willing and able to work outside normal office hours

Qualities:

• Must be Female and within the age of 20 to 30 years
• Must have the ability to be calm under pressure
• Must have good memory for recalling facts and script
• Must have proven passion for Kannywood industry
• Must look presentable in nature
• Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
• Must have the ability to research and interview
• Should have a minimum of ND/B.Sc in Mass Communication and any other relevant field
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and delivery focused individual
• Must be able to work to tight deadline, under pressure
• Must have evidence of creative media skills ( show reel preferred).
