We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Fleet Officer

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities


  • Maintain the journey plan for the technical department.
  • Collate and report maintenance requests of vehicles to the Admin Manager.
  • Assisting in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet.
  • Managing drivers so they adhere to strict schedules.
  • Developing strategies for greater fuel efficiency.
  • Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection.
  • Complying with statutory transport laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that drivers in the fleet keep the necessary log books up to date.
  • Maintain the call centre and register all movement of vehicles and staff.
  • Assign vehicles to move technical staff around sites and ensure effective movement of vehicles and staff.
  • Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
  • Initiate emergency procedures in the case of accidents or man-lost procedures.
  • Monitoring drivers’ behaviours and ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Analyzing data to increase business operational efficiency.
  • Utilizing the tracking system to monitor vehicle movement and track vehicles in case of theft.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of the Lagos road network.
  • Basic Computer skills.
  • Quantitative ability.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the transportation industry.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
