Job Summary

• The General Manager will be responsible for playing a pivotal role in steering the strategic vision, operational efficiency, and overall success of our technology department.
• Leveraging his/her leadership acumen and technological expertise, the candidate will lead a high-performing team, drive innovation, and ensure the seamless execution of projects to propel the company forward.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, direction, and vision for various units/departments, ensuring alignment with organization’s business goals.
• Inspire and lead a high-performing team to effectively achieve organizational objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the business, maintaining efficiency, quality, and adherence to deadlines.
• Achieve financial targets through proactive management and strategic execution.
• Implement and optimize processes to improve productivity and foster collaboration within the team.
• Manage the technology department budget, making strategic decisions on resource allocation and technology investments.
• Drive cost-effectiveness and efficiency in technology-related expenditures.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development within the team.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks related to projects and operations, escalating when necessary to management.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with clients and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring adherence to service level agreements.
• Develop and manage department budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the technology team.
• Collaborate with departments such as Technology, Marketing/Sales, and Finance to ensure cohesive solutions in line with business strategies.
• Foster communication and collaboration between teams to facilitate achievement of shared objectives.
• Engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Perform any additional tasks as required to support the overall objectives of the organization

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration.
• A minimum of 8 years of proven experience, with at least 4 to 5 years in a leadership position within a technology-driven environment.
• Profound understanding of current and emerging technologies.
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing budgets and resources effectively.
• Track record of success in people and team management, including development initiatives.
• Familiarity with the Mobile Device Industry would be advantageous.
• Exceptional leadership qualities characterized by maturity and adeptness.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
