Job Position: Head, Account and Operations
Job Location: Lagos
Job Description
In this role you will have an oversight in the day-to-day Operations of the company and oversee the Accounts Unit.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Coordinate back office responsibilities as in a responsible and reliable manner
- Execution of funds/institutional client’s transactions as regards placement and liquidation in the interbank market.
- The Operations Officer ensures compliance with the department’s standard operating procedures for all transaction processing and execution
- Posting and reporting of monthly investment contribution, mutual funds etc.
- Posting of money market and fixed income investments e.g. Fixed deposit, treasury bills (fresh deposits,rollovers, terminations)
- Daily Valuation running on the application software.
- Corporate Benefits declaration, dividend warrants postings and management on Money for application.
- Posting and lodgments of all Fund outflows and inflows into clients’ positions.
- Generate a monthly balance score card to report operational performance for the week.
Qualification, Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in Accounts and Operations of a financial services firm
- A good first degree. Preferably in Accounting, Economics or Banking and Finance.
- A good knowledge of the capital market and strong interest in Global Financial Markets with keen intellectual curiosity.
- Must be ethical i.e. must follow the ideals and responsibilities of the Capital market as set out in the code of ethics guiding operations and operators in the industry.
- Ability to influence others to do what is ethically right.
- Proactive decision-maker
- Sound ethics and integrity. Must be discernibly honest and of consistent upright character
