Head Accountant

n behalf of our client, Indulge Restaurant, a premier fine dining establishment based in Accra, Ghana, we are pleased to invite applications for the position of Head Accountant. Indulge is recognized for delivering exceptional culinary experiences and maintaining the highest standards of service within the hospitality industry.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a results-driven finance professional with proven experience in hospitality accounting to play a key role in the continued growth and financial stewardship of the business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide leadership and oversight for the finance function, ensuring robust financial management and reporting processes
2. Prepare, analyze, and present timely and accurate financial statements and management reports
3. Implement effective cost control measures across food, beverage, and operational expenditures
4. Supervise payroll administration, vendor management, and procurement accounting
5. Monitor compliance with regulatory & statutory bodies requirements in Ghana
6. Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business planning
7. Lead, coach, and develop the finance team to build capability and ensure adherence to best practices in accounting and internal controls

Required Qualifications & Competencies

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent is highly desirable)
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
3. Prior experience in the hospitality or food & beverage sector will be a distinct advantage
4. Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance
5. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with hospitality POS or ERP systems will be an asset
6. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
7. Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to influence and collaborate effectively across teams
8. High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
