Job Position: Head of Human Resources

Job Purpose

  • The Head of Human Resources will be responsible for providing leadership in the implementation of Lumos Nigeria’s people strategies.
  • S/he will develop and execute the HR strategy for the company, will be responsible for leading the company’s people function, structure and policies to ensure overall effectiveness of the company.
  • Role holder must be a Business Partner with excellent understanding of business operations, proven experience influencing stakeholders and driving organizational success.
  • Role holder will be responsible for direct leadership of the HR Team and will lead initiatives to ensure the competitiveness of Lumos Nigeria as an employer of choice

Key Accountabilities

  • Accountable for development & implementation of HR strategy and alignment of people agenda to business objectives towards achieving topline and bottom-line growth in Nigeria
  • Deployment of Global Best Practices on Learning, Talent & Performance Management
  • Diagnose Organization Culture and implementation of plans to achieve fit for purpose culture
  • Drive Talent agenda for sustainable growth - resourcing, succession planning, career management
  • Develop HR Business Plan, Strategy and Organizational Development interventions across Nigeria
  • Advising and setting HR policies and processes, ensuring legal compliance, and providing strategic direction for the human resources component of the overall management of Mobile Electricity
  • Design high performing strategies and executable solutions to support organizational design, performance management, recruitment, compensation, and leadership development & employee engagement
  • Establishes the company’s compensation structure; salary structure, pay policies and overall aspects of total rewards
  • Provide direction, guidance and Leadership on manpower planning with overall aim of business improvement.
  • Partner with executive management team in strategy conceptualization, formulation and execution
  • Establishment, communication and implementation of Human Resources policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Leads implementation of health programs and supports development of safety procedures
  • Leads company compliance on all employee related labour, legal and regulatory requirements to ensure zero company exposure to risks and lawsuits
  • Defines and implements all Human Resources training programs for improved knowledge base and increased employee productivity
  • Leads the implementation of the company’s performance management system including performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs

Dimensions

  • Trust - As a member of the executive team, you will interface with the CEO, DMD, CFO and VPs on a regular basis. You will become a trusted confidante on talent issues, unafraid of giving your opinions and expertise

Skills & Knowledge
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills:

  • University Degree in HR or Business Administration, or any other relevant field
  • 10 years working in HR in a Multinational
  • Membership of CIPM or other HR professional body
  • Proven experience in managing people and senior stakeholders
  • Proven track record of delivering results in an establishment of comparable size, scope and complexity
  • English proficiency

Relevant Experience:

  • Alternate Energy Business knowledge & experience
  • Experience and knowledge of Nigerian labour law
  • Organizational management skills
  • Knowledge of HR analytics
  • Administration of benefits and compensation programs
  • Project Management
  • Facilitation skills
