Job Position: Project Manager - Facilities Engineering

Responsibilities


  • Assure effective project management and provide clear advice/instructions to the multi-disciplined project leadership team.
  • Provide facilities engineering & construction management support to other functional areas, e.g., asset team, drilling, subsurface, production engineering, etc.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress; develop and finalize the project execution and quality plan; develop contingency plans, resolve conflicts, set priorities based on trade-offs.
  • Manage interfaces with internal and external stakeholders (NUIMS/NNPC, State Government representatives, NCDMB, and Contractor Management.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil / Structural, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • COREN registered with working knowledge of oil and gas facilities, Process Engineering, and Project Engineering systems, tools and practices in a project lead position.
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, Commissioning) in the Oil & Gas industry, with 5 years of those as a Project Manager of small and mid-size projects. Special consideration will be given to land, swamp and shallow water experience in the OML-11 lease or other leases in the eastern Niger Delta area of Nigeria.
  • Extensive Project management knowledge. Experience across EPCIC projects covering pipelines/flowlines sizing, design installation & repairs; oilfield process equipment sizing, design, fabrication, installation & troubleshooting; oilfield mechanical equipment design, fabrication & installation; electrical, instrumentation & control; facilities, pipelines/flowlines integrity services.
  • Solid technical background, with experience in process engineering, understanding or hands-on experience in construction management activities.
  • Extensive knowledge of design engineering, procurement, installations, construction, and commissioning.
  • Experience in Contract Management.
  • Skills in managing Strategic and Front-end Processes; Project Execution; Resource & Schedule Management; Cost Management; Project Control Processes; Contracting and Procurement; Construction Management.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills; inter-personal and leadership skills with good communications skills (i.e., report writing and presentation) are essential.
  • Team player, acting as a champion to break new grounds, self-motivated starter.
  • Can manage as required the relationship with key stakeholders to achieve projects' objectives.
  • Thorough understanding of the risks and the technical/commercial issues associated with development and production of oil and gas.
  • Proven track record of results delivery in challenging project environments.
  • Capable of rigorously implementing and enforcing global standards, procedures and engineering work processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
  • Proficiency with industry recognized EPCIC software.
