Job Position: HSE Officer

Job Summary

• Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Officer to join the team in Kano. 
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring HSE policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and promoting a safe working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
• Carry out regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Maintain up-to-date records of incidents, near misses, and safety-related activities.
• Ensure all staff adhere to company and regulatory HSE requirements.
• Lead incident investigations and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
• Organise safety training and awareness programs for staff and contractors.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
• Promote a culture of safety across all levels of the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant HSE experience.
• Professional certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, ISPON, OSHA) is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian HSE laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.

Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 Monthly.
