Sigma Pensions Limited was incorporated in August 2004, with the sole objective of undertaking the business of Pension Fund Administration in Nigeria according to the Pension Reform Act (PRA) and is regulated by the National Pension Commission (PenCom).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Internal Audit Officer
Job Location: Abuja

Job Function

• Objectively review an organization's business processes
• Detection, Prevention and control of fraud and theft of the organization's resources
• Ensure that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statutes
• Make recommendations on how to improve internal controls and governance processes

Job Description

• To prepare an audit plan which fulfils the responsibility of the department.
• Carry out an independent appraisal of the effectiveness of the policies, procedures and standards by which the organization’s financial, physical and information resources are managed.
• To coordinate coverage with the external auditors and ensure that each party is not only aware of the other's work but also sufficiently briefed on areas of concern.
• To report on the findings and recommendations after reviews and monitor management's response and implementation.
• Conduct audit testing of specified area identify reportable issues and communicate findings to Management.
• Determine scope of reviews and conduct assessments of assigned department or functional area within required timeline.
• To review and report on the accuracy, timeliness and relevance of the financial and other information that is provided for management.

Person Specification
Education Qualification:

• A degree with a merit grade in Accounting, Economics, Banking & Finance and Business Admin
• A further qualification, for example, an MBA would be highly beneficial.

Professional Qualifications:

• Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or ACCA.
• Chartered Institute of Auditors

Experience:

• A minimum of 2 to 4 years post qualification experience in a challenging environment.

Age:

• 27 to 35 years
