Job Position: Inventory Accountant / Stock Controller

Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Description

• At Soupah Kitchen & Co we seek to hire an Inventory Accountant / Stock Controller who will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• You will be responsible for overseeing inventory transactions, reconciling discrepancies, analyzing inventory.
• Review purchase orders for accuracy and ensure that they have been approved by the appropriate department manager.
• Tracks stock levels and ensures that the supplies are sufficient to meet the demand of customers.
• Monitor inventory movements, including issues, receipts, transfers, returns, and disposals.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Maintain precise records of all inventory transactions, including purchases, returns, and adjustments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor inventory movements, conducting audits, and analyzing data to optimize inventory processes.
• Comparing items received against items ordered.
• Check stock level regularly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience of at least 1 year in inventory accounting or related roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and inventory valuation methods e
• Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments
