We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Laboratory Technician
Job Location: Sangotedo, Lagos

Reports to: Assistant Manager, Laboratory Services

Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy on adults and children
- Provide assistance in various functions of the laboratory
- Maintain and update laboratory checklists regularly Provide assistance in various functions of the laboratory
- Document patient and family education.
- Use a Lab Information Management System for specimen tracking, results entry, and reporting.
- Lead/encourage multidisciplinary approach for patient’s discharge.
- Operate and manage automatic hematology and chemistry analyzers, pipettes, thermometers, balances, and other lab apparatus.
- Label, sort and record specimens and organize all information into the computer system
- Proficiency in performing laboratory inventory.
- Develop and provide the teaching plan utilizing the patient education manual.
- Enhance laboratory services and laboratory reputation.
Engagements:
- Identify and communicates abnormal results by alerting supervisory personnel, the patient, physician, or nurse.
- Communicate with patients and family members in a professional, compassionate and respectful manner to facilitate healthcare delivery as a team member.
Delivery:
- Process and enhances laboratory services and laboratory reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Operate sophisticated equipment and instruments to perform diagnostic tests and assays following standard operating procedures.
- Contributes to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers by following established standards and procedures
- Process and maintains quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced troubleshooting; calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures; monitoring quality control measures and protocols.
Targeted Specialized Knowledge
- Minimum qualification of Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from an accredited School of Health Technology. Up-to-date complete registration and practicing license
- At least 1-4 years of experience in a medical laboratory, hospital or clinic. Relevant medical laboratory certification will be an added advantage.
- Certification from the Association of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (AMLSCN)

2.) Pharmacist
Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time
Mission Objective
- The pharmacy unit provides medical support services in pharmacotherapy, critical to achieving the organization’s mission through supplying quality medications, rational medicine usage, and optimizing patients’ treatment outcomes through appropriate counseling.
Duities & Responsibilities
Basic Transaction Process:
Purpose:
- Provide effective medication use and become the people’s trusted ally against health issues that way, you can deliver maximum value to both the pharmacy and society. Review and develop the clinic's pharmacy policies and regulations.
- Participate in voluntary community health activities to promote, maintain and restore health and prevent diseases. Manage clinical risk.
- Provide professional advice on cosmetics or para-pharmaceuticals.
Inform Engagement:
- Document patient and family education.
- Develop and implement the teaching plan utilizing the patient education manual.
- Protect patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.
- Provide emotional support and measures to alleviate fear and anxiety.
- Think critically in adapting to change, judging situations, and taking appropriate decisions.
- Adhere to EHA Clinics Code of Conduct as well as ethical standards of the field.
- Interpret symptoms so that the patient can either be given immediate treatment for a trifling condition or be referred to the doctor.
- Provide pharmaceutical care services which may include, but are not limited to, patient needs assessment, age and disease-specific drug therapy and patient education, care adjustments based on patient response, and clinical interventions to identify, minimize, and avoid adverse drug reactions.
Basic Information Technology Delivery:
- Prepare and dispense medications to patients on physician’s order. Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of the clinic drug formulary. Records of all drugs, doses, and prices on the automated inventory of the clinic. Review, analyze and respond to different situations encountered daily.
- Review and execute physician’s prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality. Maintain full control over delivering, stocking, and labeling medicine and other products. Develop effective medication plans to minimize the risk of adverse side effects.
- Maintain pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
Targeted Specialized Knowledge:
- Minimum qualification of Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy/M.Pharm/PharmD Minimum of two (2) years post NYSC progressive experience in Pharmacy within the private and public sector. Experience working with public health and health systems is an advantage.
- Candidates must be a registered member of Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) with an up-to-date practicing license
3.) Optometrist

- As a crucial member of the Optometry Department, the incumbent in this position plays a pivotal role in advancing our mission by delivering exceptional patient-centered care and contributing to the overall efficacy and efficiency of our clinical operations. Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose:
- Examine the eyes of patients of all ages in accordance with the guidelines laid out by the College of Optometrists and the General Optical Council
- Perform core administrative functions
- Issue prescriptions for spectacles or contact lenses. Conduct diagnosis and testing using specialist equipment.
- Fit and check prescribed lenses in order to correct vision defects . Develop and implement the teaching plan utilizing the patient education manual
Engagement:
- Liaise with other medical practitioners and sometimes share the care of patients with chronic ophthalmic condition
- Inform and notify staff, including dispensing opticians and store staff of required procedure.
- Write referral communications to doctors as required in line with legal guidelines. Offer advice and reassurance about vision-related matters
- Participate in voluntary community health activities to promote, maintain and restore health and prevent diseases.
Delivery:
- Meet sales targets with regard to selling spectacles & contact lenses
- Document patient and family education. Assess patient and family readiness and identify learning needs
- Provide support and recommendations to patients choosing frames and lenses
Targeted Specialized Knowledge
- Possess a Degree in Optometry registered with the Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA) from a recognized institution and must have completed one year National Service (NYSC) or duly exempted.
- Certified and licensed to work in the state by the Federation of State Boards as an optometrist.
- Less than 2 years of post graduation experience.
