1.) Assistant Sales Manager

Job Description

  • An Assistant Sales Manager supports the Sales Team through analysis and reporting of results and trends, recommends sales approaches to expand and add business, and develops the skills and culture of the Sales Team Members.

What Will I Be Doing?
As Assistant Sales Manager, you will be responsible for working closely with the Sales Team to analyse market trends, report results and develop a Sales Team to execute the selling strategy and achieve business objectives. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Analyse local market trends and develop new business leads
  • Ensure the Sales Team Members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high quality standards and pro-active selling
  • Develop and implement creative local marketing channels including social media sites
  • Work within current business strategies and recognise potential opportunities
  • Communicate with all departments as required within each hotel
  • Attend Sales events when required
  • Maximise all Revenue opportunities
  • Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel, and manage the departments' adherence to achieving that strategy
  • Understand the competitive market place and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market
  • Negotiate room rates/packages with corporate clients
  • Report on a weekly/monthly basis appointments, calls made, and list of business leads
  • Answer customer queries in a timely and suitable manner.

2.) Steward

Job Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • A Steward carries out general cleaning duties and the operation of pot-washing and dishware machineries to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while ensuring all back of house areas are kept clean and safety guidelines are observed.

What Will I Be Doing?

  • As a Steward, you are responsible for carrying out general cleaning duties and operating pot-washing machinery to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.
  • A Steward will also be required to ensure all back of house areas are kept clean, and observe Occupational Safety and Health and Hygiene Regulations and health and safety guidelines.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards
  • Carry out general cleaning as directed to include sweeping, mopping up, washing up, and emptying of rubbish bins and boxes ensuring placement in the correct containers
  • Ensuring that all kitchen and back of house areas are kept clean and all equipment within the kitchen area is cleaned in accordance with the cleaning schedule
  • Ensure the correct PPE is in place and guidelines are adhered to
  • Observe Health, Hygiene and Safety guidelines when handling hazardous substances and comply with all aspects of Health and Safety requirements
  • Report any maintenance and, or, hazard issues to the supervisor on duty
  • Carry out any other reasonable task set by the Hotel's Management

3.) Income Auditor

Job Description 

  • An Income Auditor reviews, analyses, and recommends improvements to the daily financial reports and process to improve accuracy and efficiency. 

What Will I Be Doing?
As an Income Auditor, you will monitor all transactions as they contribute to or detract hotel revenue. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Carry out daily checks of revenue via an Operations Audit as per hotel standards
  • Reconcile and monitor commissions, housekeeper and rate discrepancies, and Conference and Banqueting Revenue against daily function sheets
  • Check non-arrivals, late departures, no sales/voids, management bills, bill sequence and pay-outs
  • Balance VAT and Service charge daily
  • Spot-check Function Diary and the settlement of function bills
  • Reconcile telephone, Pay TV, newspaper revenue, guest laundry income, corrections and allowance
  • Ensure Advanced Deposits are current
  • Recommend improvements to processes as required
  • Investigate daily variances in systems interface and correct errors to resolve discrepancies
  • Check bills signed to Room Account and record all covers
  • Record Reset Counter
  • Execute on tasks/requests as instructed by the Finance Manager and/or General Manager.

What Are We Looking For?
To successfully fill this role, you should have the skills, maintain the attitude, behaviours and values that follow:

  • Possess relevant Degree in Finance / Accounting or related business discipline
  • Previous experience in a high-volume finance function
  • Good understanding of all accounting packages and applications in use (SUN, Infor Q&A, OA, Opera, MS Excel etc.)
  • Ability to communicate firmly and clearly with internal and external customers
  • Ability to develop strong relationships
  • A good understanding of financial operating systems and procedures
  • Strong influencing, inter-personal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Previous knowledge and experience in similar role will be an added advantage.
