Job Position: Junior Architect

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Brief

• We need a proficient Junior Architect to join our team! In this position, you will be responsible for planning and designing buildings while keeping in mind the needs of the project.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed plans for the construction project.
• Present drawings and plans for approval.
• Study the environmental impacts of the construction process and work to mitigate any environmental risks.
• Aide in the creation of a schedule and budget for the project.
• Perform feasibility reports and ensure the building is in compliance with local rules and regulations.
• Compile needed blueprints, specifications, and construction reports.
• Work closely with construction managers and workers to ensure the project is completed on time and according to the specified design.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related field AND one (1) year of architectural experience including use of CAD technology; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of architecture and architectural principles and techniques.
• Knowledge of federal and state facility and code requirements.
• Knowledge of structural, mechanical and electrical engineering relating to building costs.
• Knowledge of types of building materials and construction methods.
• Knowledge of the methods and techniques of CAD design
• Skill in drafting architectural plans.
