Job Position: Logistic Officer (Foreign Trade)
Job Location: Lagos

Purpose of the Job (Brief)

  • Manage the delivery of all foreign shipment by both AIR and SEA from origin to destination, avoiding errors with documentation, loss of any shipment, and seizure by government agencies in and outside the country in order to support timely delivery of service.

Key Activities:

  • Award Facilitation Facilitate timely freight forwarder and clearing agent selection to hasten order pickup.
  • Sourcing, distribution of RFQs and evaluation of quotes for optimum value.
  • Order Management (Quality and Quantity)
  • Facilitate inspection by accredited inspection agencies at the country of dispatch.
  • Reconcile ordered, shipped and delivered quantity to ensure
  • full value is derived from investment.
  • Establish solid relationship with key Vendors, Suppliers for seamless business transactions.
  • Schedule Management Coordinate freight forwarding activities & ensure compliance with International trade best practices (PC, Form M, SONCAP,
  • LC, PAAR, Duty).
  • Timely engagement of supplier, government agencies, freight forwarders, clearing agents and early facilitation of relevant shipping terms and conditions.
  • Reporting Track shipments and provide bi-weekly logistics report to foster proper planning and manage customer expectations.
  • Documentation Contract Management
  • Monitor and drive compliance with statutory guidelines and requirements in the preparation and processing of shipping documents to avoid seizure or impoundment by government regulatory agencies.

Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills

  • University Degree or Higher National Diploma in Social or Management Sciences

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistic management with focus in foreign trade
  • Basic understanding and moderate experience in

  • Sound understanding of Nigerian import and export regulations
