The Alliance for International Medical Action (ALIMA) is an independent humanitarian medical NGO that was created in 2009 by professionals of humanitarian medicine. ALIMA’s mission is to provide medical care in emergency situations or medical catastrophes.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Logistic Support Manager

Job Location: Katsina
Employment Type: Contract
Contract term: 6 months renewable.

Mission and Main Activities


  • Under the Supervision of the Project Coordinator, the logistics support Manager will assist the project logistic department in its activities.

He/She will:

  • Participate in the elaboration of BOQ production, quotation collection, analysis grid and contact drafting;
  • Monitor the rehabilitation work at LGA health centers in Batagarawa, Katsina as well as the rehabilitation activities of the new Central pharmacy in Katsina.;
  • Participate in the assessment of Wash activities in Batagarawa LGA;
  • Contribute to the implementation of preventive measures against abuse of power, gender-based and sexual violence:
  • Assist the logistics team in equipping the new project office;
  • In collaboration with the medical team, clearly define a reference and counter-reference SOP from Batagarwa to Katsina;
  • identify catering providers or suppliers for patients' catering
  • This list is not exhaustive, he or she can be asked by his line manager any related logistic tasks.

Experience and Skills

  •  University Degree in Logistics, Supply or any other relevant field.
  •  Minimum of 5 years of experience in humanitarians Logistics supply management, with the role of internal Procurement compliance.
  •  Experience with a medical international NGO, an asset.
  •  Rigorous, stress-resistant, good adaptation capacity, and capacity of meeting deadlines.
  •  Strong Team management and supervision skills.
  •  Strong leadership qualities
  •  Perfect knowledge of MS Office packages, especially Excel & Word
  •  Communications and negotiation skills
  •  Flexibility and proactivity

Language:

  •  English is mandatory (written, read, spoken), French is an asset.
