The International Monetary Fund predicts that because of the continent's population growth, by 2035 there will be more young Africans entering the workforce annually than there are in the entire world combined. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Managing Director

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Organization: Stealth Mode (Edutech)
Reporting Relationship: The MD will report to the Board of Directors and CEO in dotted lines
Role: Managing Director (MD)

Scope and Responsibilities
The MD will be responsible for the following areas:
Leadership and Management:

  • Developing and executing the company’s business strategies
  • Providing strategic advice to the board and chairperson
  • Provide strategic advice to the board and Chairperson so that they will have accurate view of the market and the company’s future
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
  • Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times
  • Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities
  • Preparing and implementing comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement
  • Keep an eye on financial performance and update the board on a regular basis. And lead strategic planning and implementation.
  • Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders
  • Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments and other business ventures
  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives, providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
  • Drive Aggressive Revenue and Investment

Fundraising & Communications:

  • With the Vice President of Development, expand our client fundraising strategy and capabilities to meet revenue growth goals.
  • Expand and enhance a diversified fundraising program that would include, but not be limited to, major individual giving, foundation, corporate, membership, in-kind, and special events.
  • Expand programming revenue generation and corporate and foundation fundraising activities to support existing program operations and global expansion.
  • Use external presence and relationships to garner new opportunities.

Planning and New Business:

  • Design further expansion and execute the five-year strategic planning process for program expansion into new markets.
  • Assure the organization has a long-range strategy that achieves its mission and toward which it makes consistent and timely progress.
  • Build partnerships in new geographies, establishing relationships with entrepreneurs, funders, and political and community leaders at each expansion site.
  • Create, implement, and evaluate program initiatives that reflect the mission, vision, and values of our client.

Reporting Relationship:

  • The MD will report to the Board of Directors and CEO in dotted lines.

Requirements and Skills

  • Demonstrated experience holding a managerial position, such as managing director, for more than 12 years.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strategic and business plans
  • Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
  • BSc or BA in Business Administration or relevant field;
  • MSc or MA will be preferred
