Job Description


  • The successful candidate will work within the MRO Procurement team, will manage the MRO portfolio for our Consumer & KCP business in Nigeria and other sub-regions across EMEA. The successful candidate will manage a spend across all categories (MRO Capital and building services).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understand and maintain delivery of the procurement category strategy that;

Ensures Continuity of Supply:

  • Maintain continuity of supply of goods & materials for Nigeria MRO

Drives Cost Savings:

  • Identify cost saving opportunities through negotiation or sourcing changes, innovation etc. to meet our Cost Transformation/Fuel-to-Grow targets contributing to K-C profitability.
  • Minimize cost impact to K-C as a result of supplier market cost changes - develop mitigation plans.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers.
  • Apply best practices to ensure efficient and effective commercial interaction.
  • Carry out periodic and formal supplier evaluations where appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in vendor selection, relationships and negotiation

Engagement with the Business:

  • Maintain close, co-operative relationships with key business partners, including manufacturing and operations.
  • Manage communications between K-C suppliers and our internal business partners to ensure business needs are met on an ongoing basis.
  • Operate with an E2E Supply Chain / Business mindset, and in partnership with BU, to ensure service continuity, continuous improvement and maximized value delivery to enhance K-C brand equity and ultimately improve K-C’s level of profitability.
  • Represent procurement in relevant business and global procurement projects as appropriate.

Engagement with the Global Team:

  • Maintain co-operative relationships with colleagues in the global procurement team and other regional procurement teams.  Leverage these relationships to help drive value for the EMEA business.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Help to drive the adoption of lean within the procurement team, and work with internal customers on problem solving activities.
  • Ensure the adoption of Global Procurement processes, including category strategy preparations and other signature programmers.
  • Ensure that KC internal control requirements (Procurement Clear Guide) are adhered to in all Procurement activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or significant Procurement experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent quantitative and data analysis skills
  • Experienced and capable influencer of peers and seniors managers
  • Procurement background in Logistics category (as a plus) in international environment at least 2 years;
  • Ability to drive results, ensuring continuity of supply and achieving stretch savings targets.
  • Ability to work closely with business partners, being seen as the key contact within Procurement and local Supply Chain teams.
  • Ability to leverage the knowledge and capabilities across the EMEA procurement team and broader global teams in order to drive value within Israel / EMEA across the organization.
  • You must have a flexible / flow to work attitude, a desire to meet the business/procurement needs and adhere to strict KC Code of Conduct and Compliance;
  • High motivation and potential to grow.
  • English – Fluent.
  • Procurement / Supply Chain experience is a clear advantage.
