We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Network Administrator

Job Location: Central Business District, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Strategize with the Head of Operations to understand the technical needs for each department.
• Initiate and integrate new server hardware and applications for various departments.
• Provide technical oversight of a multi-site enterprise level WAN, including planning, implementation/expansion, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct trainings for end users on all new software and hardware technologies.
• Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
• Resolve problems reported by end user
• Specify system requirements and design solutions
• Proactively update software and hardware policies specific to the functions of the department.
• Support and administer third-party applications
• Ensure network security and connectivity on all software and hardware
• Analyze and monitor server security and implement patches and fixes to address potential security holes.
• Research and make recommendations on server system administration

Requirements and Skills

• B.Sc Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 2 years + proven of experience in a network administrator role or IT Specialist
• Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
• Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
• Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting,and problem resolution is desired
• Ability to set up and configure server hardware and software
• Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
• Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking.
