Job Position: News Editor

Job Location: Nigeria

Role Description

  • This is a full-time remote role for a News Editor. The News Editor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of news operations, including writing and editing news stories.
  • The role requires the candidate to have experience with new media, journalism, editorial, and news writing.
  • The News Editor will also be responsible for ensuring content accuracy, editorial compliance, and publishing timely breaking news updates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
  • News Writing and Journalism skills
  • Editorial skills and experience with new media platforms
  • Experience working with multimedia elements, including images, videos, and audio.
  • Strong Writing skills
  • Excellent research and reporting skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current events, politics, business, and culture in Nigeria and around the world
  • Ability to work remotely and with a team
