1.) Executive Director

Job Summary
- The Executive Director will be responsible for providing visionary leadership and strategic direction to the real estate firm. This role oversees all aspects of the company's operations, including property development, sales, marketing, finance, and project management, focusing on profitability, sustainable growth, and market leadership.
- The Executive Director ensures the firm remains competitive, compliant with regulations, and focused on delivering value to clients, investors, and stakeholders. The role reports to the CEO/the Board of Directors.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the overall business strategy aligned with the company’s mission and long-term goals. Identify growth opportunities, new markets, partnerships, and investment opportunities.
- Sales & Marketing: Lead sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share, ensuring marketing efforts align with the company’s brand.
- Project Development & Construction: Oversee property development initiatives, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness, while maintaining compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Identify risks and ensure compliance with real estate laws, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Human Resources & Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performance executive team while fostering a positive work culture focused on employee development and retention.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee all real estate projects from land acquisition to construction and sale, ensuring all departments (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Business Development, Operations, and HR) meet performance targets.
- Financial Management: Manage the financial health of the company, including cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting. Lead fundraising efforts and monitor investment portfolios.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Construction, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of senior management experience in the real estate industry with proven expertise in property development and sales.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, financial acumen, and team management skills.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of real estate law, zoning regulations, and construction standards.
- Proficiency in project management and construction software.

2.) Group Head, Internal Audit
Job Location: Lagos

Job Summary
- As a Group Head, Internal Audit you will report to the GCFO and Board of Directors.
- The Internal Audit function is a critical position in helping to achieve its objectives by evaluating the effectiveness of governance framework, risk management, internal control and, also, playing a key role in promoting good corporate governance across the strategic business units within the group to ensure all activities are carried out in an orderly and efficient manner and assets are properly secured at different locations.
Responsibilities
- Perform and supervise the full audit cycle including risk, controls management, financial reliability, and compliance with the organizational policies and procedures.
- Support Management in the development of the corporate strategy by providing strategic insights on internal audit management
- Develop and coordinate the implementation of approved internal audit strategies and work programs across the Group’s operations
- Develop strategies, standard operating procedures, policies and manuals for the Internal Audit Department and make regular updates to reflect changes in the practice of internal audit as well as the Group’s operational needs
- Promote a culture of transparency and accountability in the company’s operations
- Develop yearly audit work plan based upon strategic, corporate and operational goals detailing the scope, nature and timing of audit activities
- Coordinate audit efforts with, and provide assistance to, the Audit Committee and external auditors
- Implement the Annual Audit Plan, as approved, including any special tasks or projects requested by Management and the Board Audit Committee
- Assess the effectiveness of the established business controls and communicate identified weaknesses to management with appropriate remedial action plans
- Liaise with the Finance Department and Statutory Auditors to agree scope and information requirements for the successful conduct of the annual statutory audit programs
- Monitor the timely implementation of the Management actions, Management letter recommended in the audit reports by the external auditors
- Conduct follow up reviews and resolve control issues arising from internal and external audit exercises
- Conduct detailed review of ICT administrative policies, procedures, and standards
- Coordinate the execution of audit plan including any special tasks or projects
- Submit periodic Audit reports to the Board and Management on internal Audit programs, detailing its effectiveness, including progress of remedial actions and adherence to industry practices
- Supervise the activities of unit members and provides guidance where possible
- Provide training to team members and other employees to drive awareness on internal control procedures
- Perform any other duty that may be assigned by the Board Audit Committee and/or Executive Management.
Requirements
- A First degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management etc. is required
- Minimum of 10-12 years in Audit with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
- Relevant professional certification e.g. ACCA, ICAN, CISA, etc.
- Excellent understanding of the company’s processes, policies and procedures
- Knowledge of audit standards and regulations

3.) Finance Manager
Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description
- This role reports to the Business Controller. It ensures accurate reporting and analysis of the company’s financial transactions.
- It will also be responsible for effectively managing the company’s financial resources as well as recommending strategies for managing operational costs and maximizing profits.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with Business Controller to develop, update and implement financial and accounting policies, procedures and strategies for the Strategic Business Unit.
- Support business leader in the development of the annual plans, budgets, forecasts and financial performance metrics to guide business operations and strategy execution.
- Work with the business controller to establish company-wide standards for system, data and processes. Develops, updates and guides the implementation of finance SOPs for the Strategic Business Unit
- Work with sister companies and group finance teams to ensure intercompany balances are regularly reconciled and variances fully investigated and resolved.
- Maintain on-going liaison with relevant external bodies/contacts e.g. regulatory organizations, auditors, solicitors, banks etc.
- Provide technical training, guidance and advice on financial accounting issues, developments and trends.
- Review weekly reports submitted by various departments and functional units and presents timely reports to the business leader.
- Ensure the implementation of a sound accounting framework and compliance with tax and other statutory provisions for the Strategic Business Unit.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of sound financial controls across the Strategic Business Unit operations.
- Coordinate the proper capturing of financial transactions of the Strategic Business Unit accounts from all operating departments and functions.
- Prepare accurate, comprehensive and timely financial and management reports including tax, cash flow, management accounts and other statutory accounts monthly.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and procedures and comply with safe work methods as required.
- Perform any other duty that may be assigned by Line Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience.
- A post graduate degree will be an added advantage
- Relevant professional qualifications, e.g. ICAN is highly desired.
- Experience in financial management and ability to diagnose and solve complex financial problems.
- Ability to analyze financial data and interpret financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Competency in the use of automated financial accounting and reporting applications.
- Good knowledge of local and international financial regulatory standards.
- Reside in Port Harcourt or willingly relocate to Port Harcourt.

4.) Head, Financial Reporting
Job Location:Lagos Island, Lagos

Job Summary & Purpose
- The role is responsible for ensuring accurate reporting on a timely basis of Obijackson Group’s financial transactions in line with organisation policies and procedures, relevant industry regulations, local and international accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with the Group Finance Manager to develop/update and implement financial and accounting policies, procedures and strategies across the Group.
- Update “chart of accounts” periodically to reflect account management activities.
- Develop and implement controls to ensure the integrity of the Company’s ledgers and associated systems.
- Review all financial accounts, reports and reconciliations to ensure adherence to the financial reporting cycle deadlines and presents timely reports to the Group CFO.
- Summarize outcome of management account submission reviews to highlight variances and the drivers with recommendation of corrective actions to address adverse variances.
- Publish calendar for month end, quarter end and year end close activities and ensure Strategic Business Units (SBUs) submit their Reports in line with deadlines.
- Act to ensure compliance with the Group’s financial policies, procedures and standards.
- Oversee the preparation of the Company’s trial balance and financial reports (cashflow statement, statement of financial position, profit or loss accounts) and manage the consolidation of financial information.
- Develop an operating mechanism to ensure all business units work consciously towards completing the annual statutory financial statements audit ahead of June 30 tax filing deadline.
- Work with Group Finance Manager to develop a timetable for the annual budgeting exercise together with guidelines to ensure consistency of assumptions used across board by all the business units.
- Oversee proper capturing of financial transactions across all business units.
- Maintain existing relationships with relevant external bodies e.g auditors, financial institutions, regulatory organizations etc.
- Provide coaching and technical support to team members.
- Liaise with internal auditors to discuss and resolve queries.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and procedures and comply with safe work methods as required.
- Any other task as may be assigned by the finance leadership team.
Person Specification
- Minimum of a First Degree in Accounting, Finance or any related discipline.
- Relevant professional qualification e.g. ICAN, ACCA, CITN, etc.
- 8 - 10 years of relevant experience with at least 3 year in a supervisory role.
- Good understanding of current finance and accounting principles.
- Good knowledge of automated financial reporting systems, federal and state financial regulations.
- Proficiency in the use of Ms Office Suite i.e Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics and a relevant professional qualification.
