Role Overview


  • The PA will provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the Secondary School leadership office.
  • This position requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, interpersonal and organisational skills to effectively manage the demands of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders (parents, staff, students).
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication between the Head of Sixth Form and other departments.
  • Manage the Head’s calendar, scheduling appointments, meetings, and school events.
  • Draft, prepare, and manage correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Handle incoming/outgoing communications (emails, letters, calls) with confidentiality.
  • Organise and support meetings, conferences, and events (logistics, minutes, follow-up).
  • Maintain positive relationships with students and parents, offering guidance/support.
  • Coordinate parent-teacher meetings, student conferences, and other engagements.
  • Maintain student records, transcripts, and related documentation.
  • Support monitoring of student progress, performance, and disciplinary issues.
  • Liaise with Admissions and Finance for prospective students and smooth onboarding.

Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge
Essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Education, Business Admin, or related field preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a PA/Administrative Assistant, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of educational policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and school management software.
  • Excellent organisation, multitasking, and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
