Responsibilities


  • Assist in the selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors, to promote good procurement practice with due regard to sustainability, ethical purchasing standards and costing.
  • Work with internal departments to determine procurement needs, quality and delivery requirements.
  • Responsible for order placement timing, supply / demand alignment, material replenishment and supplier performance.
  • Monitor, evaluate and improve supplier performance, according to an appropriate Service Level Agreement, on a continuous basis.
  • Review inventory and update as required and make or purchase policy analysis and recommendations.
  • Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
  • Sourcing and negotiating with reliable suppliers/vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Approving purchase orders, organising and confirming goods procured
  • Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
  • Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs with vendors.
  • Preparing weekly procurement reports and draft, send and follow up on invoice payment.
  • Follow up on contract and license renewal and other duties as directed by the management.

Requirements

  • B.Sc in Economics, Accounting or relevant qualification
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a procurement officer or related position
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Must live in Ajah or its environs
  • Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
  • Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.

Salary
N120,000 - N150,000 Monthly.
