Job Position: Safety Supervisor

Job Locations: Amuwo Odofin and Isolo, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Correcting Unsafe Conditions: Addressing identified hazards and implementing corrective measures.
• Developing and Enforcing Safety Policies: Creating and enforcing workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Managing Safety Equipment: Ensuring the proper use, maintenance, and storage of safety equipment.
• Monitoring Work Activities: Observing work activities to identify potential hazards and ensure safe work practices.
• Supervising Hazardous Material Handling: Ensuring the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification: Identifying potential hazards in the workplace and assessing associated risks.
• Safety Training and Education: Providing training to employees on safety procedures, hazard recognition, and emergency response.
• Inspections and Audits: Conducting regular inspections of the workplace to identify unsafe conditions and ensure compliance.
• Providing Guidance and Support: Offering guidance and support to employees on safety matters.
• Safety Program Management: Developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs, procedures, and protocols.
• Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring adherence to all relevant safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
• Incident Investigation: Investigating accidents, near misses, and unsafe incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Emergency Preparedness: Developing and implementing emergency response plans, procedures, and drills.
• Communication and Leadership: Communicating safety information effectively, promoting a positive safety culture, and leading by example.
• Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of safety inspections, training, and incident investigations, and reporting as required.

Requirements

• Candidate should possess an HND qualification, Bachelor's Degree with 3 - 5 years of experience.
