Job Position: Senior / Intermediate Database Administrator

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage database systems to meet organizational requirements.
• Perform regular database performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Ensure the security and integrity of databases by implementing and maintaining access controls and encryption.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize database performance in application environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including data corruption, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity problems.
• Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve database systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with at least [X] years in a senior role.
• Experience with database security and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• In-depth knowledge of database management systems, including [specific technologies, e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server].
• Strong proficiency in database design, normalization, and performance optimization.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
