Job Position: Software Developer

Job Summary

• We are recruiting talented individuals to join our development team.
• The task is learning and deploying the open source software system called ROS (Robot Operating System). The same software used to run the curiosity rover on Mars.

Key Requirements

• Access to a personal computer capable of running Ubuntu 18.04

  • 2 GB ram, 2GH 64bit cpu, 25GB+ rom MIN specs
  • https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/SystemRequirements
• Internet access capable of stable audio calls and package down/uploads
• Strong written and spoken english
• Willingness to work remotely

Desired skills:

• Programming experience, C++ or Python
• Linux experience highly recommended
• Knowledge of robotics an asset
• High intelligence
• Strong work ethic
• Good problem solving ability
• Ability to learn independently utilizing videos / online guides
• The perfect candidate would be highly intelligent, dedicated and ambitious
• The right individual, who stays with us as the company grows, may have the potential forequity options.

Remuneration

• Employment will be contractual.
• Compensation will be on a job completion basis, each job paying $100-500 USD.
• Completion time will depend on a person's skill, dedication, Linux literacy, learning speed, etc.
