Job Description


  • Our client is looking to employ the services of an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator who would be responsible for procuring core goods and essential services in the most efficient and cost-effective manner, keeping all user groups abreast of the status of all outstanding orders and purchases and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • He/She must be able to employ best practice supply chain management techniques to day-to-day activities to maximize its contribution to the company’s profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuous assessment of market conditions to identify and develop strategies and synergies with vendors in a manner that benefits the company and enables the achievement of pre-defined targets in our project development plans.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of our retained suppliers' and vendors' operations and ensure a seamless connection with our business in a manner that complies fully with the company’s supply management policies.
  • Keep all users and contractors apprised of the progress of all outstanding order/requisitions while offering procurement expertise to customers and the project team.
  • Manage a detailed procurement plan for all works in conjunction with all participating units and aid achievement of defined milestones through careful management of all procurement-related issues
  • Coordinate all tender activities inclusive of preparing commercial reports and organizing tender presentations and processes for procurement approval as required.
  • Negotiate and manage bulk purchasing contracts and commitments in a manner aligned with our project development milestone requirements.
  • Organize and attend material status meetings with suppliers and contractors
  • Prepare monthly project accounts, variance reports, and performance analysis reports.
  • Conduct MONTHLY inventory stock-taking exercises on all ongoing project sites
  • Manage the company’s independent material pricing index.

Educational Qualifications / Experience

  • First Degree in Quantity Surveying, Accountancy, or related course.
  • Minimum (5) fives years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Procurement Specialist.
  • Basic knowledge of Construction industry standards & practices
  • Strong Negotiating Skills
  • Strong Relationship Management
  • Intermediate level user of EXCEL and ability to master ERP systems
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and Bills of Quantities.
