About the Role


  • As a Technical Specialist, he will be a multi-craft maintenance technician with the skills to troubleshoot, repair and replace technical components within the manufacturing facility.

About the Team/Department:

  • Engineering and Maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Inspects, repairs, and installs piping, pumps and valves. Adheres to the planned work weekly schedule. 
  • Supporting with the installation, maintenance and service of the site fire detection and suppression systems
  • Preventive maintenance, reduction in the number of machine breakdown. Process Improvement initiatives.
  • Following Preventative Maintenance plans, contributing to and performing process improvements to equipment, responding to emergency equipment breakdowns, preparing complete and accurate systems records, and an understanding of LEAN principles
  • Achieve the defined KPIs, which will be measured via weekly and monthly/year reviews.

Requirements
Experience you’ll bring:

  • Higher National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical subjects.
  • Completed an apprenticeship in Steam fitting, Welder fitter, or plumbing and pipe-fitting for industry with 5-years of experience
  • 3-5 Years of industrial maintenance experience in engineering / manufacturing maintenance industry
  • Proficiency in the use of computer system

Behaviors you’ll need:

  • Demonstrates competencies in utilizing blueprints, P&ID schematics to accurately make changes when modifications are made to repair facility and production equipment,
  • Ability to complete the essential functions of the job and tolerate the ergonomic stressors of the job.
