Description


  • The Straight Child Foundation (TSCF) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the lives of children with special needs, including those living with cerebral palsy and clubfoot.
  • Our work spans advocacy, health services, and inclusive community development initiatives.
  • We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support our finance team.
  • This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit financial management and is ideal for recent graduates looking to build a career in accounting or financial administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with bookkeeping and preparation of financial documents.
  • Support invoice processing, payment tracking, and data entry.
  • Help reconcile accounts and support monthly financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in both physical and digital formats.
  • Assist in budget preparation and tracking expenditure reports.
  • Collaborate with the Accountant and administrative team on day-to-day finance operations.
  • Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Recently completed a Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Completed NYSC programme
  • Membership of a professional body (ICAN, ANAN) is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and willingness to learn.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
