A Christian organization ordained to inspire every man to seek to know God intimately and strive to show God distinctly to his world, through the unique gifts within him is seeking a creative and dedicated Video Editor to join her media team and help them visually communicate their mission and values.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor to join our media team. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for crafting compelling visual stories that align with our church's mission and values. Your expertise will help us convey our message through engaging video content for various platforms as well as develop and implement communication strategies to promote the organization's image and messages, both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Video Editing:

     * Edit video footage for church services, events, social media, website, and other communication platforms.

    * Create motion graphics, animations, and special effects to enhance video content.

    * Develop and maintain a consistent visual style for the church's brand.

2. Creative Collaboration:

    * Work closely with the pastoral team, media team, and ministry leaders to understand video needs and deliver creative solutions.

    * Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for video content.

    * Provide input on creative direction and project timelines.

3. Technical Proficiency:

    * Utilize video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, After Effects , or Final Cut Pro.

    * Ensure all videos are optimized for different platforms and devices.

    * Troubleshoot technical issues related to video projects.

4. Project Management:

    * Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.

    * Maintain organized files and documentation for all video projects.

    * Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques to continuously improve skills.

5. Church Involvement:

    * Attend church services and events to capture the spirit and essence of the church community in video work.

    * Support the media team in other capacities as needed, including assisting with church setup, videography, and social media management.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Video Production, Film, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

* Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

* Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After effect, or Final Cut).

* Strong understanding of storytelling principles, pacing, and visual composition.

* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

* Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

* Effective verbal and written communication skills and teamwork abilities.

* Commitment to the mission and values of the church.

Preferred Skills:

* Experience with motion graphics and animation.

* Knowledge of color grading and color correction.

* Familiarity with social media platforms and their video requirements.

* Basic knowledge of photography and lighting.
