Nairametrics is a leading financial resource company based in Nigeria.  We provide our clients (including visitors to our website) with up to date business, investing and financial information from Africa’s largest economy. We also have a consulting arm that provides bespoke financial management services to clients.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Web Developer (Back-end)
Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

• Work within the development team on new and existing Wordpress builds
• Provide operational support to existing digital properties
• Write high quality code within tight delivery timelines
• Co-ordinate with functional areas on launch and deployment tasks

Job Requirements

• Degree holder in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline with minimum 2 years' of development experience.
• Experience in implementing projects on Wordpress l is an advantage
• Working knowledge of Linux, Apache, PHP, JavaScript (DHTML, AJAX), CSS and HTML. Solid understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Experience in resolving cross browser compatibility issues and adhering to W3C standards
• Distinctive problem solving and analytical skills; flexible, proactive and ability to work under fast-paced environment
• Team player who is self-motivated, energetic and passionate about exploring new technology
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with good command of written and spoken English
