Job Position: Workshop Supervisor, Golden Transport Division??

Job Location: Nigeria

Purpose


  • Responsible for the coordination of mechanics for repairs of all assigned tractors, trailers and heavy-duty trucks, earth moving equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic system and turbo charged engines. assist in coordinating all workshop Improvement project with the goal to raise overall productivity by following through on all key performance indicators.

The Job

  • Experience on the repairs of trucks and engines/transmission
  • Responsible for the repairs of all assigned tractors, trailers and heavy-duty trucks, earth moving equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic system and turbo charged engines and recovery of break-down trucks.
  • Collection of spare parts from stores for the repair of trucks
  • Ensures that all workshop areas under supervision are kept clean, tidy and safe
  • Monitor assigned technicians and take actions to ensure assigned trailer / trucks are not work in progress for more than reasonable time.
  • Ensure repairs time estimate are accurate and recorded appropriately
  • Ensures effective assigning of jobs to mechanics
  • Ensures repairs of accidented trucks and renovation of such truck to portray a good cooperate image of the company

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement: HND in Mechanical Engineering
  • Added advantage: Technical Knowledge

Experience:

  • Minimum : 3+ years
  • Practical knowledge of ISO standards or equivalent for workshop operations.

The Person Must Have:

  • Have good verbal and written communication skills to effectively supervise staff, give instructions, and report workshop activities.
  • Possess strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to coordinate technicians and ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Demonstrate solid technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or automotive workshop operations.
  • Be able to plan, assign, and monitor jobs while ensuring quality control, safety standards, and company procedures are followed.
  • Have good problem-solving, record-keeping, and basic computer skills for job tracking, inventory control, and reporting.
