Electrical Engineer / Supervisor

A Port Harcourt based company is launching an exciting project which will run for at least three years, adopting world class systems and making use of our extensive global expertise. As a result of this expansion, we are recruiting qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Preparation of tender document for all EPC project.
  • Development of project plan and project management.
  • Handling operational issues and allocating of project resources.
  • Monitoring, Assessment and management of Project risk.
  • Negotiation of the EPC contractor and major Plan Procurement and ensuring the contractual terms are met.
  • Project Change and Control Management.
  • Carrying out other duties that may be assigned to you by management from time to time.
  • Implement P&ID requirements into electrical design’
  • Prepare electrical load list, schematic diagrams, single line diagrams, cable schedules and MTO using smart plant Electrical.
  • Perform power system studies (short circuit, coordination, motor starting, arc flash harmonics) using ETAP
  • Have knowledge of protection relay calibration and use kits
  • Installation and maintenance of boiler high pressure 45kg/cm2(lBL) power house turbine (MAXWATT) 1.7MW, Cooling Tower, Compressor, Fuel handling system, Ash conveying system, water distribution and water treatment
  • Preparation of Hydrostatic test diagram to show the block limit for testing a system, type and test pressure.
  • Develop preventive maintenance program with the involvement of maintenance staff for smooth operations.
  • Supervising instrumentation installation calibration pre commissioning of New and Existing Plants
  • Model-Mark V. Control System
  • Vibration and Temp safety System for 3300 SERIES, 3500 SERIES, 7200/9000

Core Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Fully familiar with international codes standards and recommended practices
  • 10 - 15 years relevant experience in the Oil and gas Industry
  • Familiarity with Auto Card 2D, 3D and CADWORX (3D PLANT Software) a plus
