It began operations in 1994 with the core business of providing leading edge solutions and services in the areas of Supplies, Installations and Maintenance of Telecommunications Equipment, and later added to its services Recruitment, Training, as well as Manpower supplies and Human Resource Management.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Network Engineer (L2)

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains production and corporate network by configuring/upgrading network hardware
• resolve complex support issues that may not be well documented, and apply your knowledge to writing and improving support procedures.
• Maximizes network performance by monitoring, troubleshooting network environment
• Maintain secure network by establishing and enforcing policies
• Ensure continuous improvement in network infrastructure uptime, stability, security and documentation
• Keep existing infrastructure support documentation up to date.
• Create network infrastructure support documentation where it does not exist.
• Attend day/weekly meetings to discuss problems, processes, etc.
• Be able to resolve daily issues within SLA.

Skills and Capability Requirement
Qualification:

• Technology-focused bachelor’s degree, certification (CCNP/CCIE) or commensurate experience.

Experience:

• 4+ years of experience with administration, implementation and troubleshooting of IP network. Cisco experience is a requirement

Knowledge & Skills:

• Proven experience with designing solutions that meet industry best practice standards within complex network environments.
• In-depth knowledge of network technologies at all layers of the OSI reference model:
  • LAN and WAN physical access technologies
  • Switching protocols (MPLS, spanning-tree, 802.1ad, VLANs, 802.1q, etc.)
  • Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, static routing, etc.)
  • IP, TCP and UDP based applications and protocols
  • Expert level firewall appliance experience (Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper/Netscreen, etc.)
  • Expert level network loadbalancing appliance experience (Cisco, F5, etc.)
• Demonstrable understanding of how diverse systems and technologies interact in a complex network environment.
• Complete understanding of VPN/transport encryption technologies:
  • IPSec
  • SSL
  • DMVPN
  • GET VPN
  • SSH tunneling
• Expert ability in creating and reading network trace packet captures.
• Expert ability in creating standardized network infrastructure documentation.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor when placed in high-stress and high-pressure situations.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in an environment with little day to day task based direction.
