We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Finance Intern

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time


Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing account reconciliations.
  • Assist with bank statements reconciliation, as well as accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure the completion of assigned tasks in line with established deadlines.
  • Work under supervision of other accountants.
  • Help with month-end financial reports.
  • Assist with month-end financial reports.
  • Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Assist in reconciling the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Assist in facilitating payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
  • File and scan journal entries.
  • Do data entry and credit checks.
  • Any other responsibility that may be assigned by your line manager.

Education and Qualifications

  • B.Sc / OND in Banking & Financing / Accounting with proven aptitude on accounting and understanding of principles & practices.
  • Working towards ICAN / ACCA or related courses/certifications.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 month Experience in Accounting related field.
  • Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (JDE or another full-scale ER software)
