Crescent Ricemills, a leading rice production company in Kano, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Chartered Accountant

Job Location: Jogana, Kano
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Financial Management:

• Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and accounts.
• Reconcile bank statements and address discrepancies promptly.
• Process payments, invoices, and receipts accurately and on time.

Budgeting and Reporting:

• Assist in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses.
• Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial data and recommend ways to improve performance.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations such as VAT, PAYE, and other statutory obligations.
• Prepare and submit tax returns and financial filings as required.

Audit Support:

• Provide necessary documentation and explanations for internal and external audits.
• Implement audit recommendations to strengthen financial controls.

Payroll Administration:

• Manage payroll processing and ensure accurate salary calculations.
• Address employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.

General Accounting Duties:

• Monitor accounts payable and receivable for timely settlements.
• Manage petty cash and maintain proper disbursement records.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.

Requirement

• 5 years of experience.
