Job Position: Experienced React Engineer

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Description

• Interswitch is looking for an experienced React Engineer to join our team in Lagos. As an Experienced React Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for implementing the front-end logic that defines the appearance, interactions, and simple animations of our web applications.
• The successful candidate will work closely with the development team to design and build high-quality user interfaces and collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and back-end developers to ensure the seamless integration of front-end and back-end functionalities.
• This is a full-time hybrid role, implying that the role is located in Lagos but some work from home is acceptable.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of recent experience in front-end web development and expertise in React
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with API consumption and transformation
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
• Good understanding of progressive loading, server-side rendering, and optimization techniques
• Experience in using the latest CSS features, pre-processing platforms such as LESS or SASS, and frameworks such as Bootstrap and Foundation
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
